Fish Pepper Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 pound of catfish cut in pieces
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 hot pepper chopped
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika 
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 1 tsp white pepper 
  • 4 leaves basil chopped 
  • 2 green onions chopped 
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp bouillon powder
     

    1. Place all spices (except bay leaf) in blender. Pulse until pureed.
    2. Place in a saucepan with bay leaf, add 4 cups of water. Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Add fish, continue cooking until fish is cooked. Discard bay leaf.
    3. Adjust for seasonings and thickness. Serve warm.
